Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit to the number of workspaces I can join or create?
Nope! You can create as many workspaces as you want, for whatever purpose you want. There are also no limits to the amount of storage and actions you can perform in each workspace.
How do I find workspaces related to my interests?
You can browse workspaces on the discover page by searching keywords or applying search filters like categories, types, and filtering to your school only.
Can I make my workspace private or invite-only?
Yes! Workspaces can be created with one of three privacy options: Open (available to anyone), Private (students must request to join), and Hidden (students can’t find the workspace unless you invite them).
Can I restrict permissions for specific members?
Yes! Workspace admins can set default permissions that apply to all new members and manually change existing members to either view only, participant, or admin.
What’s the difference between chat channels and direct messages?
Channels are group chats for workspace members. Every workspace has a default general channel for all members, and admins can create additional channels for specific groups. Anyone can send a direct message by selecting a student from the workspace’s member directory.
